Around here

Somehow, it has been an entire month since I last blogged. I guess we've found ourselves the best kind of busy: hosting many visitors! We also survived a month without our favorite, hard-working man. We are thrilled to have him back home. Happy October by the way! Here are some photos from our little pumpkin patch trip with a couple of buddies & their baby bumps this morning...

This past month, we enjoyed a visit from my brother Jensen and his wife, Amanda. We were lucky enough to see our Aunt Rhonda that same weekend. Bonnie sure loved the extra attention. We were extremely blessed by a visit from my dear friend, McKenzie and her son, Billy. An extra toddler in the house meant sharing-boot-camp for Bonnie. All things considered, the week went really well but we certainly had many a parenting moment. Whew! It was an eye opener to a side of Bonnie I've really not seen before. Make way! I guess the toddler times are upon us...

We have just returned from a few days back up in Oregon celebrating a cousin's wedding and of course seeing family. I always love going "home" but only wish I was able to check off a few more of my favorite food joints while I had the chance. Boy, how I could go for a Kyra's GF cinnamon roll, or some La Hacienda fajitas. Send on over some Thai PK and a Tula's Mascarpone berry tart. How could I forget Little Big Burger's truffle fries...

As you may have guessed, we are a little lacking in the unique, delicious eateries here.

In other news, Andrew continues working hard and long hours. He just completed a few weeks on nights. I so appreciate how he always has a good attitude, even in the midst of being exhausted and working so much. We cherish his normal scheduled one day off and often even trade off taking naps and Bonnie play time during that day to give ourselves a break. How awful is that!? It's what we do to get through right now though and it works for us. It's no joke that intern year is tough stuff!

We are thrilled that "fall" is upon us and certainly hope some cooler weather comes (& stays) our way. I also can't wait to meet my new nephew, Caleb Jay. My sister had a dream delivery and has the most darling new son. Bonnie and I will be going to visit them in Michigan soon. Good work, sis! See you guys in a few weeks! Caleb, please still be small & squishy enough for some newborn photos when I get there...

Happy Fall everyone! I'm off to start baking the evening away for a base hospital bake sale tomorrow...
