One // Bonnie Grace

Just like that, I have a one year old...

I cannot believe how fast the time went! I have sweet memories thinking back to Bonnie's birth. This time last year, we were utterly sleep deprived, struggling to keep sweet Bonnie growing on track with my problems making milk (get it, utterly.... hehe). Our whole day (& night of course) was spent trying to make sure she was getting enough to eat, pumping extra, and napping in between. On repeat. One year later, I'm unbelievably grateful and a little bit in shock of how many of our dear friends are still there for us and loving on us while so far away. Family & friends, thank you for supporting us and loving our daughter. It's so special and amazing to see others love our baby. In turn, making us feel dearly loved. Friends & family, thank you for praying for Bonnie from the time she was just a little mustard seed in my womb. Thank you for continuing to pray for her. That means the world. Thank you for enduring the "bonnie show" over the past year on all of my social media accounts. Whew! No promises that I'll tone that down, but maybe her week-by-week photos will fade away. Just maybe. ;)

We enjoyed a low-key day celebrating our sweet girl. With Andrew's folks (Granita & Grandpa) in town, we started the day off with a walk around the duck pond and ended it with barbequed salmon burgers (Costco for the win) and lots of play time with new toys. As you can see above, cake was a no-go. But, watermelon swooped in to save the day! I have a feeling next year may be different, but this is why she doesn't have the happiest of faces in her "cake smash" photos. Oh well. Her Tu-tu reminds me of a little Edgar Degas...

Happy 1st birthday my sweet girl! Now I just need to muster up the motivation to finish your baby book!!!
