And so it begins! I can finally publicly share that our next chapter as a family will include moving to the Travis Air Force Base area in California (about an hour in between San Fran & Sacramento). Andrew was "matched" for the Family Medicine Residency program there (his first choice, Praise God!). We don't have many details at this point and will be living a bit in limbo leading up to actually relocating in May. I'm sad to be leaving this amazing place (Oh, Portland, I've sure come to love you with all my heart), our family, friends, and my job; but I'm very thankful that we'll still be on the west coast and a day's drive (or short flight) away from family.
New adventures, new sites, new friends, a new home, a new church family, eventually a new job, and a whole lot more sunshine awaits us! Oh yeah, and a very intense season for Andrew... and a whole lot of mommy-daughter dates, and.... hopefully a crash course in Air Force wife etiquette. Good bye beloved scarves, boots, and sweaters; hello sun-screen, air condition (I hope), and what I think will end up being many hospital cafeteria dates with the Mister. See you soon, California!
...here's a post from our time at Travis this summer.
