I'm so thankful for time spent together with family (on both sides) this Christmas. My sis & her family were able to join us from Michigan to make it extra special. During our time with my folks, we took a few minutes & rushed out for some quick family photos. When I say quick, I literally mean no more than 15 minutes. That's how we do it in my family, I suppose. Get 'er done! We were unfortunately missing my brother and his wife.

I quite thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my darling nephew, Reid. Bonnie and Reid had some quality bonding time in the form of hugs. Such a sweet boy...

Much of our holiday time was spent fighting a nasty cold- but you wouldn't know it from these photos.

Sweet memories were made.

From singing happy birthday to Jesus to receiving PJs from my dad Christmas eve, to reading of Christ's birth in the bible, we pulled out the family traditions with joy. Christmas time is different with littles. We even patiently waited until after morning naps to open presents (I think Reid decided to take a 2.5 hr one that morning... whew)! I mostly enjoyed seeing my folks wholeheartedly be Mamaw and Granddad. And, great ones at that! I can't remember the last time (if ever) our house shown bright with Christmas lights. Okay, it was just the gate this year. But, it was beautiful. "Santa" even left half his cookie and milk downstairs. I, on the other hand, helped myself to many...

A great time was had by all. With much time spent with family over the past two weeks though, I'm quite thankful for a quiet home with my little family of three. For now.
